Party of Five

Charlie Salinger (Matthew Fox)
Bailey Salinger (Scott Wolf)
Julia Salinger (Neve Campbell)
Claudia Salinger (Lacey Chabert)
Owen Salinger (Jacob Smith)

Closer to free

Everybody wants to live,
Like they wanna live
And everybody wants to love
Like they wanna love
And everybody wants to be
Closer to free
Everybody wants respect, just a little bit
And everybody needs a chance, once in a while
Everybody wants to be

Closer to Free
Everybody one
Everybody two
everybody free
Everybody needs to touch
You know, now and then
And everybody wants a good, good friend
Everybody wants to be
Closer to Free

I said everybody one
Everybody two
Everybody Free
Everybody wants to live
Like they wanna live
And everybody wants to love
Like they wanna love
And everybody wants to be
Closer to free
Yeah, closer to free

Supertramp - Hide in your Shell

Hide in you Shell

Hide in your shell cos the world is out to bleed you for a ride
What will you gain making your life a little longer?
Heaven or Hell, was the journey cold that gave your eyes of steel?
Shelter behind painting your mind and playing joker

Too Frightening to listen to a stranger
Too Beautiful to put your pride in danger
You're waiting for someone to understand you
But you've got demons in your closet
And you're screaming out to stop it
Saying life's begun to cheat you
Friends are out to beat you
Grab on to what you scramble for

Don't let the tears linger on inside now
Cos it's sure time you gained control
If I can help you, if I can help you
If I can help you, just let me know
Well, let me show you the nearest signpost
To get your heartback and on the road
If I can help you, if I can help you
If I can help you, just let me know.

All through the night as you lie awake and hold yourself so tight
What do you need, a second-hand-movie-star to tend you?
I as a boy, I believed the saying the cure for pain was love
How would it be if you could see the world through my eyes?

Too Frightening- the fire's getting colder
Too Beautiful- to think you're getting older
You're looking for someone to give an answer.
But what you see is just an illusion
You're surrounded by confusion
Saying life's begun to cheat you
Friends are out to beat you
Grab on to what you can scramble for
Don't let the tears...
... just let me know
I wanna know...
I wanna know you...
Well let me know you
I wanna feel you
I wanna touch you
Please let me near you
Can you hear what I'm saying?
Well I'm hoping, I'm dreamin', I'm prayin'
I know what you're thinkin'
See what you're seein'
Never ever let yourself go

Hold yourself down, hold yourself down
Why d'ya hold yourself down?
Why don't you listen, you can
Trust me,
There's a place I know the way to
A place there is need to feel you
Feel that you're alone
Hear me
I know exactly what you're feelin'
cos all your troubles are within you
please begin to see that I'm just bleeding to
Love me, love you
Loving is the way to Help me, help you
- Why must we be so cool, oh so cool?
Oh, we're such damn fools...

Ainda me lembro
Daquele beijo
Spank punk violento
Iluminando o céu cinzento
Eu quero você inteira
Gosto muito do seu jeito
Qualquer nota bossa nova
Bossa nova qualquer nota
Eu quero você na veia
E a vida passa na tv
E o meu caso é com você
Fico louco sem saber
Sim pro sol, sim pra lua
Eu quero você toda nua
Sim pra tudo que você quiser
Gosto muito do seu jeito
Rock'n roll meio nonsense
Rock'n roll meio nonsense
Pra acabar com essa inocência
E o complexo de decência
No meio do salão
Hoje é festa
Na floresta
Toda tribo ateia sol
Só tomando água de coco
Infeliz de quem tá triste
No meio dessa confusão

Por enquanro - Renato Russo

Por Enquanto

Renato Russo
Mudaram as estações
nada mudou
Mas eu sei que alguma coisa aconteceu
Tá tudo assim, tão diferente

Se lembra quando a gente
chegou um dia a acreditar
Que tudo era pra sempre
sem saber
que o pra sempre
sempre acaba

Mas nada vai conseguir mudar
o que ficou
Quando penso em alguém
só penso em você
E aí, então, estamos bem

Mesmo com tantos motivos
pra deixar tudo como está
Nem desistir, nem tentar,
agora tanto faz...
Estamos indo de volta pra casa

Mudaram as estações,
nada mudou
Mas eu sei que alguma coisa aconteceu
Tá tudo assim, tão diferente

Se lembra quando a gente
chegou um dia a acreditar
Que tudo era pra sempre
sem saber
que o pra sempre
sempre acaba

Mas nada vai conseguir mudar
o que ficou
Quando eu penso em alguém
só penso em você
E aí, então, estamos bem

Mesmo com tantos motivos
pra deixar tudo como está
Nem desistir, nem tentar,
agora tanto faz...
estamos indo de volta pra casa

Halloween Parade

Lou Reed
Halloween Parade

There's a down town fairy singing out "Proud Mary"
as she cruises Christopher Street
And some Southern Queen is acting loud and mean
where the docks and the Badlands meet

This Halloween is something to be sure
Especially to be here without you

There's a Greta Garbo and an Alfred Hitchcock
and some black Jamaican stud
There's five Cinderellas and some leather drags
I almost fell into my mug

There's a Crawford, Davis and a tacky Cary Grant
And some Homeboys lookin' for trouble down here from the Bronx

But there ain't no Hairy and no Virgin Mary
you won't hear those voices again
And Johnny Rio and Rotten Rita
you'll never see those faces again

This Halloween is something to be sure
Especially to be here without you

There's the Born Again Losers and the Lavender Boozers
and some crack team from Washington Heights
The boys from Avenue B and the girls from Avenue D
a Tinkerbell in tights

This celebration somehow get me down
Especially when I see you're not around

There's no Peter Pedantic saying things romantic
In Latin, Greek or Spic
There's no Three bananas or Brandy Alexander
Dishing all their tricks

It's a different feeling that I have today
Especially when I know you've gone away

There's a girl from Soho with a teeshirt saying "I Blow"
She's with the "jive five 2 plus 3"
And the girls for pay dates are giving cut rates
Or else doing it for free

The past keeps knock knock knocking on my door
And I don't want to hear it anymore

No consolations please for feelin' funky
I got to get my head above my knees
But it makes me mad and mad makes me sad
And then I start to freeze

In the back of my mind I was afraid it might be true
In the back of my mind I was afraid that they meant you

The Halloween Parade
At the Halloween parade
At the Halloween parade
See you next year - at the Halloween parade
